DAVID C. STOVER

MEMBERSHIPS: Mr. Stover is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Federal Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Clay County Bar Association.
PROFILE: Davids practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy, commercial law, and creditors rights. A 1967 graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia with a degree in Mathematical Statistics, David received his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia in December 1974. Between undergraduate and law schools, David served in the United States Air Force.
Since 1987 David has served as a Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustee. In 1992 David was appointed a Panel Trustee for the Western District of Missouri by the Office of the United States Trustee, a component of the United States Department of Justice.
As a bankruptcy attorney, David represents individuals and businesses, which file Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies. David also represents individuals who file bankruptcies under Chapter 13. As a creditors attorney, David represents a number of lending institutions with respect to protecting their interests in bankruptcy court and in state and federal court litigation.
David is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Federal Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Clay County Bar Association. David is also a lecturer and author for Continuing Legal Education programs for the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law and other sponsoring entities. A resident of Lees Summit, Missouri, David is a member of the Lees Summit Sunrise Rotary Club and a Board Member of the Lees Summit Health Care Foundation. |
