CURTIS G. EYLAR

MEMBERSHIPS: Curtis is a member of the Clay County and Platte County Bar Associations. He is also admitted to practice in Missouri, including the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
 

PROFILE: Curtis received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Creighton University in 1980 and 1983, respectively. He went on to serve as assistant city attorney for Kansas City, Missouri from 1985 to 1989. He then joined Gunn, Shank & Stover, P.C. in 1989. While at Gunn, Shank & Stover, P.C., he has served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri defending the Department of Corrections in the 1990’s. He is currently the city attorney for Platte Woods, Missouri (since 1997) and Lathrop, Missouri (since 1992) and the municipal judge in Plattsburg, Missouri (since 1998).

Curtis served as alderman for the City of Platte Woods during the mid 1980s and alderman for the City of Pleasant Valley from 1996 to 1998.

Curtis grew up in Platte County, Missouri and now lives with his wife and daughter in Smithville, Missouri.
